Eat Your Heart Out

Well my friends....we have arrived. Arrived in Bigfork, Montana that is. We left at the crack of dawn yesterday morning in order to arrive in Bigfork by lunch time. Along for the ride (on her way to Bozeman to visit Brooke) was Ashley's mom, Jan....who enjoyed our ceremonial bloody mary's and bubbly...circa 8am mind you.

After arriving at the Kalispell airport (about 30 minutes away from the house in Bigfork) we were enveloped in the beautiful 70 degree, crisp, clean air. On our way into Bigfork we hit our favorite road side fruit and veggie stand The Apple Barrel for fresh huckleberries, cherries and other indigenous deliciousness.

Since the car was packed with our excessive luggage and assorted sundries we headed on to the house where we unloaded and unloaded and unloaded an obscene amount of bags. Then it was off to our favorite lunch spot...Echo Lake Cafe where we dined on our usuals. After being fueled by lunch we braved the grocery store with Ashley's spreadsheets and marching orders in hand. I'm pretty sure the people at the Super 1 Foods had never seen the likes of us....four carts overflowing with the essentials....Fresca, Coors Light, Wine....oh yeah and some food. Here's a picture of our cashier with our receipt....

After unloading all our groceries with immediately took to the porch for a relaxing happy hour cocktail or two. Ash cooked up some delicious chicken and pasta for dinner and then it was back to the porch. Things didn't change much over the next five or so hours as we continued the exhaustive task of porch side cocktail sipping and poker over the tunes.

So, now it's Friday....day 2. Our friends from Fort Worth arrive today. Let the trouble begin.
